Pressure Boosting Systems

Pressure Boosting Systems

Pressure boosting and circulating systems are fully integrated pump stations used to maintain constant discharge pressure or flow in either open or closed systems. They may be stand-alone, fully controlled by on-board systems, or integrated into a plant or building’s control system. Common applications include automatic pressure boosting of seal water for large pumps, domestic or utility water pressure control for high rise and other commercial buildings, coolant circulation, and plant utility water systems.

Geiger Offers

Constant Pressure Boosting Systems: Pump stations with variable speed drives, vertical multi-stage pumps, and on-board controls and instrumentation monitor downstream pressure and control speed and stage pumps to respond to changing demand. We offer standard, compact designs which can be customized to meet the requirements of our any project. Common options include the addition of suction pressure monitoring, flow meters, expansion tanks, break tanks, interlocks with back-up water supplies, and more.

Level and Sump Control Pump Stations: Pump Stations with standardized level control can monitor and maintain liquid level in a tank or sump, activating pumps when needed. Level controls can be factory programmed and tested for pump up or pump down applications, simplifying installation, and are designed to be easily adjustable in the field.

Large Pressure Boosting Systems: Modular designs and cable solutions allow the design of pump stations that can be disassembled for shipment and routing through buildings. Designing for modular disassembly and reassembly allows design, factory assembly, and testing of the pump station as a complete, coordinated system, saving installation time and simplifying the specification process.

Custom Solutions: Geiger’s custom pump stations can be designed specifically for your project. Please contact our sales engineering team to discuss solutions for your project.
